Year Old Arrested In Connection With Parsons Green Attack

The London Underground station in Parsons Green where an improvised device exploded on a train during the Friday morning rush hour reopened early Saturday.

A message on the group's propaganda page reportedly stated: "A security source to Amaq: the bombing of the IED in the London tube was carried out by a unit affiliated to the Islamic State".

The teen remains in custody at a local police station and will be transferred to a south London police station.

Prime Minister Theresa May condemned the "cowardly attack", saying it involved a device "clearly intended to cause significant harm".

She said: "The public will see more armed police on the transport network and on our streets, providing extra protection".

Nobody suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident, the fifth terrorist attack Britain has suffered in less than six months.
